Continental Bank has become aware of a possible Phishing and Pharming scam targeting Continental Bank customers. We believe the scam could begin with an email indicating your account will be frozen and you will be unable to access your funds if you do not click on a link within the email to confirm or update personal and/or account information, including PIN. This link would connect to a very similar looking website to that of Continental Bank.
While Continental Bank may distribute emails to our customers about services that may benefit them, we will NEVER ask you to confirm personal information, re-enroll or provide PIN confirmations through an email.
Continental Bank is committed to protect our customers from online scams, including the introduction of a “personal image” on the Online Banking login page. This refers to the image you selected that should appear every time you login to the system confirming that you are on Continental Bank’s legitimate website. If you do not see your selected image after you enter your User ID, do not enter your password and contact us immediately at 800-705-5500.
