History of Continental Bank
A locally owned and operated community bank, Continental Bank was established in September 2005 and built on the premise that personalized, local attention and service is the very essence of what individuals and businesses need from their banking partners.
This belief was the common thread that brought together our team of leaders. Together, they saw the face of local banking change in recent years as mergers and acquisitions eliminated the small and mid-sized banks. In their place came large, out-of-market banking organizations that had little to no understanding of the needs and preferences of our Chester, Montgomery and Philadelphia County residents. Where policies, procedures and bottom-lines are put before the individual banking needs of their customers.
Continental Bank is now a $430 million community bank with 10 store offices located in Plymouth Meeting, Devon, Limerick, Roxborough, Bala Cynwyd, East Norriton, Blue Bell, West Norriton, Shannondell at Valley Forge and King of Prussia.
